Healthy Minds 4 Men
Oct 27, 2025
Healthy Minds 4 Men is a Men’s Mental Health/Suicide Prevention Course tailored to address the psychological, emotional, and social challenges faced by men. The program’s core aim is to provide a safe, stigma-free environment where men can engage in emotional exploration, vulnerability, mental health education, and peer support.
Recent data shows that men are significantly more likely to die by suicide, while also being less likely to access mental health services. In 2022, men represented 75% of all suicide deaths in Canada, with 2,686 male suicides out of 3,589 total. This program is intended to respond directly to this demographic with an evidence-informed, male-centered approach to suicide prevention/life promotion and mental health support.
Healthy Minds 4 Men is offered in (4) 2-hour seminars – join them all or just what interests you!
Topics include:
- Exploring Male Specific Stressors, Social Dynamics, and Societal Pressures
- Coping Strategies: Trauma, Addiction and Mental Health Disorders in Men
- Healing Through Accountability, Communication and Self-forgiveness
- Life Promotion Through Introspection, Passion, and Purpose
Seminar objectives:
- Build greater self-awareness of how personal experiences, societal expectations, and cultural norms influence their mental health and emotional well-being.
- Identify unhelpful patterns in thoughts, behaviours, and coping strategies, and begin to explore healthier alternatives.
- Recognize early signs of emotional distress in themselves and others and understand when and how to seek support.
- Communicate more openly and effectively, especially around difficult emotions, conflict, and personal challenges.
- Take personal responsibility for growth and healing by reflecting on past experiences without shame or judgment.
- Strengthen their connection to purpose, personal values, and long-term well-being through introspection and goal setting.
