Peer Support 101
Peer support utilizes a person-centred approach to focus on relationships, personal experience and the help needed by a person. It is about the personal journey of growth and self-responsibility, and quality of life.
Peer Supporters recognize the importance of an individual approach to recovery. They honor and respect where each individual is in their own unique journey of recovery, recognizing that the focus is on the process and not just the end result.
