Suicide Awareness

Suicide is a public health issue that affects individuals of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or cultural group. While there is no single cause that can predict, explain or prevent suicide, we can each do our part to become more educated and aware to advance suicide prevention and life promotion in our communities.

CMHA-WECB, along with the Windsor Essex County Health Unit and a multitude of other community partners, work together to increase awareness throughout the year, but with a special focus during September when we recognize World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10) and Suicide Awareness Month.
