EVENT: Run with Responders 5K
YOU DON’T NEED TO BE A FIRST RESPONDER TO PARTICIPATE.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
Mandatory Race Packet Pickup and In Person Registration The Running Factory (5480 Wyandotte St. East) from 10:00am-8:00pm on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 10:00am-5:00pm.
Race Day Registration opens at 7:30am on Sunday, July 28 for late packet pickup and last minute sign-ups!
START and FINISH at the Windsor Firefighters Monument at the Civic Terrace Plaza. Distances include a 5K Run or Walk, Kid’s 1K and Kid’s Dash.
Run or walk on the beautiful Riverfront Trail east towards Hiram Walkers, turnaround and return past the Firefighters Monument for a short jaunt into Dieppe Park and returning back to the Firefighters Monument to FINISH. The course will feature a number of Police, Fire, Essex-Windsor EMS and CBSA vehicles off to the side in honour of all local first responders.
All participants will receive a Finishers Medal and a limited edition Tech T-Shirt! Running age group awards for 1st place in each 5 year age division plus 1st place overall M/F.
This run/walk will provide financial support for the Canadian Mental Health Association and Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario.
