LOCAL COMPANY MARKS 70TH ANNIVERSARY BY FOCUSING ON MENTAL HEALTH PROMOTION

The Windsor office of Dillon Consulting Limited (Dillon) is celebrating their 70th anniversary in a unique way by partnering with the Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor-Essex County Branch (CMHA-WECB), to raise awareness about the importance of positive mental health in this community.

During Mental Illness Awareness Week (Oct. 2-8) and throughout the month of October, Dillon will partner with the CMHA to:

– Offer an educational session to all employees about workplace mental health; and

– Use the #DillonCMHA – to promote mental health on both organizations’ social media channels.

With over 600 employees across Canada, Dillion is replicating this local partnership with CMHA’s across its 17 offices throughout the country.

“Empowering local employees with information and education about mental health will have a positive impact in this community,” said Claudia den Boer, CEO, CMHA-WECB. “By having positive discussions about mental health, Dillon employees are helping to break down the stigma and discrimination, making it easier to speak openly about this serious subject.”

Approximately 56 employees here in Windsor are looking forward to working with the CMHA in any way we can, to help build community awareness about the important issue of mental health, said Olivia Zahumensky. “As a Canadian company, we are proud to be a part of this community and we’ll always look for ways to lend our support for worthy organizations such as the CMHA.
