Support mental health this holiday season
Mar 6, 2020
Although anxiety, depression, and loneliness may occur anytime during the year, the stress of the holidays can amplify these feelings. For those coping with mental health issues, the holidays can be a daunting, overwhelming challenge every year. That’s why CMHA-WECB offers support and information to people affected by mental health issues – so no one needs to feel alone in their struggle.
This season, CMHA-WECB is working to help those in need through our Light the Way campaign. Now in its third year, you can find our Light the Way display at Devonshire Mall (by Lids / The Telephone Booth). The display includes general information about CMHA as well as information about our Bereavement Program. The display is also a fundraiser – Mall patrons can purchase a paper star ornament for $2.00, write the name of a loved one on it and hang it on one of our display trees. Proceeds support our Bereavement Program and Client Assistance Fund.
CMHA-WECB works daily to promote mental health, recovery and resilience in the community, but we can’t do it alone. You can support CMHA-WECB this holiday season by making a donation. Your gift will help CMHA-WECB assist people experiencing mental health issues, including their families and caregivers, to access information and support as soon as they need it.
During this season of giving, you’ll be making a meaningful gift to many people across Windsor-Essex who will cope with a mental health issue in the coming year. Please donate today. https://windsoressex.cmha.ca/donate-2017-light-the-way/
